Mama’s make statements too.

Motherhood calls for a beautiful change, but some things don’t have to change…

Hello all,

I’m sorry I’ve been hiding underneath my shell of motherhood. I’ve been busy keeping up with my nearly two-month old, and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve once been told, “The days are long, but the years go by fast.” I could already see the truth to that as I spend every moment I have with my little one being on maternity leave.

These days, what I wear could be the least of my priorities. No time to to decide on an outfit, yet alone time to even fix myself (the way I used to). And although I can’t do that just yet, I’ve invested in some pieces that would allow me to make a statement…EVENTUALLY.

I am making this post short and sweet as my baby is about to wake up from her nap. This J.W. Anderson bag makes the perfect on-the-go bag when I am grabbing coffee and breakfast and making a quick run to Target. I could then use this bag for date night with the hubby. This bag has enough space to carry my essentials–wallet, phone, keys and lipstick.

After having watched Ali Wong’s Baby Cobra.. it all clicked. Having gotten these Anine Bing boots prior to me watching her hilarious performance, as a mom, I too have been more attracted to “sparkle.” These boots will be quite the show stopper once I am able to dress for an occasion. This picture does not justify how gorgeous and sparkly these boots are. I am super excited!

Hope you all have a lovely rest of your week and cheers to this upcoming weekend!

xo, KB

p.s. Never stop dating your husband. As new parents, there’s still a lot to learn and adjust to. Having a balance with your love life as a mom or dad is still necessary–it’s healthy. And yes, he’s already taken me out on a date =]
