Kicking off the weekend with my forever date..

Sunday strolls through Burlingame for breakfast and Farmer’s Market

My essentials.

Hello all,

As another week follows, I can only say I try to make the most of my weekends with my husband. From breakfast dates to dinner dates, there are always errands and weekend tasks to be squeezed in between. This past Saturday, we tried Spruce in SF, and we absolutely loved it there. Fine dining is something we do occasionally, and I think it will become even more occasional now that baby will be on the way.

He had — 14 Day Aged Flannery New York (with creamed kale, foraged mushroom and bordelaise sauce)

I had — Pan Seared Striped Bass (with brassicas, country croutons, sauce grenobloise)

We had — Jivara Chocolate Mousse Cake (with Macallan butterscotch, cocoa nibs, chicory ice cream)

Would we go again? You betcha! Our experience there was amazing, from the politeness and exemplary service of the staff, the dim lights, comfy seats, complimentary add-ons (amuse bouche and thank you treats, etc.). Our server was so amazing–he knew I was pregnant and he not only made me a mocktail not seen on the menu but he also surprised me with an oatmeal cookie to-go for my “midnight snack.” Let’s toast to such a wonderful experience!
